UK Student Films 4th Birthday

26.01.2009 | Adam Maidment

We're now into a fourth year at UK Student Films, so I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all our regular visitors and fans for supporting the site and of course, a big thank you to all our contributors without whom we'd not have much of a site at all.

I expect the year ahead will bring it's challenges and rewards and I'm personally looking forward to seeing what 2009 can bring UK Student Films. I am as ever keen to see what talent lies in the UK and expect to receive a steady flow of new content as the months roll on. That said I'm hoping to push UKSF more this year with the independent film festivals and also bring it up-to-date by combining resources with the ever expanding and popular Facebook Group (now at over 200 members) and new Fan Page - check em out if you're not already a member.

One thing that 2008 brought was a large influx of messages regarding careers from both those looking for jobs and also those looking to fill positions. A new Careers section is on the cards which will hopefully give those looking to "sell" themselves a platform from which to do so - how popular this becomes I suppose only time will tell.

So that's enough from me, thanks again for your continuing support. Happy movie making!
