UK Student Films is an online promoter & showcase for Independent Films made in the UK, specialising in short films produced by UK students and aspiring young film makers.
UK Student Films has been running since early 2005 and has built up a loyal following on the internet and across the uk student tv network, from Glasgow right down to Exeter. Viewership on the Interweb is truly global and although many our viewers are from the UK and the USA, we have people watching our films right around the world from Israel, Germany, Spain, Cuba, Australia, India, Indonesia, Canada and many many more. UK Student Films truly is an international stage!
So
why are we different? Well we are not just another YouTube clone.
Far from it in fact. UK Student Films showcases some of the best and
most cutting edge filming made by young people today. We do not allow
just any old film to appear on our site. You won't find any 20 second
films recorded on a mobile phone or clips of TV shows being uploaded
with the latest dance track laid over them. Our films are sourced direct
from individual film makers - most of whom simply post in their work
- or direct from film festivals and events around the UK. We strive
to showcase the best independent film and television being made by
students and young people today, to be a true online promoter and not
just another online video dump.
So what now? UKSF is always looking to showcase content. If you have any films you'd wish to showcase we'd love to see them. Similarly if you are involved with any tv/film festivals we'd be excited to hear from you as well - we're always keen to work with new people and organisations to promote independent film in the uk. Otherwise just sit back, turn the volume up and watch some of the films already being showcased on UK Student Films.
